Connect Groups are a way to get connected with Christ and with others!

Connect Groups are small groups that meet weekly for an 8-10 week period of time. These groups have a study that they participate in together along with having time with other believers. You are welcome to join a group based on night of the week, age, women or men only, etc. but we encourage you to continue as a part of your connect group through the entire season. If you find at the end of your season that you would like to join a different group or take a break, that's no problem! Choose what is best for you.
Our seasonal approach not only allows people to be a part of a group when it works for their schedule but also allows facilitators to lead when they can and take a break when needed! Connect Groups can meet in homes, coffee shops, or at Peace. If you are in need of a space to meet, please contact Cami Hamer to see what spaces are available for your group. Read more about current and upcoming connect group opportunities below! The next season begins the week of January 8th. January - March Groups:Open to Anyone - Sunday at 9:15am - Quick Shots: Fast Answers to Hard Questions: In this video-based study, cold-case homicide detective J. Warner Wallace offers brief answers to common objections to the Christian worldview. Following the video, we will discuss and dig into God’s Word to help us better answer the hard questions. Join us each Sunday at 9:15am in the Chapel with Pastor Cory facilitating.
Open to Families - Sunday at 9:15am - Talking to Your Kids About Jesus: This study is for parents and kids of all ages are welcome to come along. The group will meet in the Youth Room beginning on January 8th. Homes where deep and meaningful faith conversations happen regularly aren’t the product of lucky parents. They’re the product of intentional parents who believe nothing is more important than raising kids to know and love Jesus. In this series, author Natasha Crain offers parents tools and encouragement for creating low-grade, consistent efforts to clarify who Jesus is, why he matters, and how kids can live impacted by their faith in him. Open to Women - Monday at 9:30am - Sip, Savor, and Drink Deeply: This women's group meets in the Chapel at Peace beginning on Jan. 9th. The idea of a coffee break is enticing, isn’t it? Even if coffee isn’t your beverage of choice, you look forward to downtime, especially if it is spent with a friend who wants your company. Jesus is such a friend. The Lord wants our company. He invites us to meet with Him in His Word. Just imagine what He has in store for us as we meet Him with our “cup”—our self—a vessel created and chosen by God, redeemed in Christ, and ready to be filled for His purpose. Open to Grandparents - Monday at 6:30pm - Legacy Grandparenting: This group of grandparents meets in the Conference Room at Peace beginning on January 9th. Help your grandchildren develop a lifelong faith in Jesus. Many powerful voices are influencing our grandchildren, from those at home and in their schools to those in the world of entertainment and media. What can you as a grandparent do to speak wisdom and godliness into their lives? What can you as a grandparent do to speak wisdom and godliness into your grandchildren’s lives. Grandparenting gives you a biblical foundation for investing spiritually in your grandkids, walking you through the principles of influencing them for Christ–from sharing with unbelieving grandkids to discipling them into a mature faith. Open to Anyone - Tuesday at 7am - Weekly Readings: All are welcome to join as the group digs into the next Sunday's Scripture readings. The Tuesday morning group meets in the Chapel at Peace each week. If you are unable to join in person, consider participating on Zoom! Contact the church office for this option. Open to Anyone - Wednesday at 12pm - Love Does: This group will meet in the Peace Conference Room beginning Jan. 11th. You will discover the paradigm shifts, musings, and stories from one of the world’s most delightfully engaging and winsome people. What fuels Bob’s impact? Love. But it's not the kind of love that stops at thoughts and feelings. Bob's love takes action, just like Jesus did. When Love Does, life gets interesting. Light and fun, unique and profound, the lessons drawn from Bob's life and attitude just might inspire you to be secretly incredible too. Open to Anyone - Wednesdays at 6pm - Redeeming Your Time: This study is open to anyone and will meet in the Peace Chapel. Our schedules are overwhelming. Even with the countless time-management resources available to us, our ability to find balance between work and life can feel fruitless. But when we look at the lifestyle of Jesus, we see an example of what it looks like to be efficient while finding balance. In this four-session series, bestselling author Jordan Raynor discusses seven principles, rooted in the example of Jesus, that will help us use the time we have in the best way. Open to Couples - Wednesday at 7:15pm - Book of Romans: This group of couples will meet offsite at the Morse home beginning on January 11th. The Book of Romans has so much to say about our Christian lives. Each week the group will dig into 2 chapters of Romans. As you read Romans as a group, you will be amazed at how much speaks to our culture and shows us that in the midst of it all (when the book was written, the beginning of time, and now), God reigns over everything! Open to Men - Thursday at 12pm - The Book of Ephesians: This study is open to men and will meet in the Conference Room at Peace beginning on January 12th. Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world. Open to Women - Thursday at 6:30pm - Enough for Now: This group is open to all women and will meet at Cork and Barrel beginning January 12th. The concept of 'having enough' is one that is not often experienced. If I only had more money... more success... more time... then I would be fulfilled. Yet, even when more is attained, it rarely satisfies. It is not 'enough.' Enough for Now explores the idea of 'enough' through the study of Scripture - specifically the parable of the rich fool, personal stories, and practical exercises. Over the course of the eight lessons, women will discover how to escape the insatiable quest for more by finding their 'enough' in God. Open to Men - Thursday at 7pm - Be a Godly Man: This group is open to all men and will meet at Pastor Burma's house beginning on January 12th. God has created men to have incredible strength. But today’s culture has hijacked masculinity, distorting strength into passivity and abuse. In this video Bible study series, pastor Joby Martin invites men to embrace God’s definition of masculinity and to step into His calling upon their lives to wield their strength on behalf of others. God has designed men to be protectors, providers, and defenders. When men act like men, everyone flourishes. |
