Connect Groups are a way to get connected with Christ and with others!

Connect Groups are small groups that meet weekly for an 8-10 week period of time. These groups have a study that they participate in together along with having time with other believers. You are welcome to join a group based on night of the week, age, women or men only, etc. but we encourage you to continue as a part of your connect group through the entire season. If you find at the end of your season that you would like to join a different group or take a break, that's no problem! Choose what is best for you.
Our seasonal approach not only allows people to be a part of a group when it works for their schedule but also allows facilitators to lead when they can and take a break when needed! Connect Groups can meet in homes, coffee shops, or at Peace. If you are in need of a space to meet, please contact Cami Hamer to see what spaces are available for your group. Read more about current and upcoming connect group opportunities below! The next season begins the week of September 10th Current Groups:What does this mean? Understanding the Basics of our Faith - Sunday at 9:15am - Open to Anyone: This study will dig into our faith and why we believe what we believe. The group will meet in the Conference Room beginning on September 10th.
Joining Jesus as a Family - Sunday at 9:15 am - Open to Families of All Ages: This study will dig into what it looks like to be a family that focuses on the Lord. How do we make our faith a priority in our homes so that our children also grow in the faith? Join us each Sunday in the Youth Room at Peace between Worship Services. What's Your Vision? Digging into our roles as Christians - Sunday at 9:15am - Open to Anyone: Join Cami as we look at the Peace Vision Statement, the Scripture behind it, and how we can incorporate it into our lives. This group will meet in the Peace Chapel beginning September 10th. Jesus said What? - Monday at 6:30pm - Open to Anyone: Jesus doesn’t always tell you what you want to hear. But He always tells you what you need to hear, and even the hard words are a gift given to you in love. Join Andy and Cherie to see what Jesus' ministry and time on earth looked like. The Connect Group will begin meeting at the Stadler home on September 11th. Please contact the church office for the address. Weekly Readings Study - Tuesday at 7 am - Open to Anyone: All are welcome to join as the group digs into the next Sunday's Scripture readings. The Tuesday morning group meets in the Chapel at Peace each week. If you are unable to join in person, consider participating on Zoom! Contact the church office for this option. Nurturing Your Faith: Prayer Study - Tuesday at 12pm - Open to Anyone: The Bible study Nurturing Your Faith: Prayer is a four-session series exploring the role of different types of prayer in the believer's life. Prayers of intercession, gratitude, confession, and praise are considered in various scriptural settings by highlighting a particular prayer's context, who offered it, and why. This study will meet in the Peace Conference Room beginning September 12th. Take It to the Lord in Prayer - Wednesday at 12pm - Open to Anyone: Take a break each Wednesday noon and join Vicar Joel for a time of prayer. The group will meet in the Conference Room beginning September 13th. Love in Chaos - Wednesday at 6pm - Open to Anyone: We don’t have to look far to see division in our world. And in many ways, we are confused, angry, and disillusioned by all the chaos we’re experiencing. How should Christians respond to the chaos? What does it look like to live faithfully in these strange and challenging times? Join Deb and the group to dig into the topic and how to love those around us--even in chaos. The group will begin meeting September 13th. Redeeming Your Time - Wednesday at 7pm - Open to Young Adults: Our schedules are overwhelming. Even with the countless time-management resources available to us, our ability to find balance between work and life can feel fruitless. But when we look at the lifestyle of Jesus, we see an example of what it looks like to be efficient while finding balance. Join Grace and Jacob in the Peace Chapel beginning September 13th and learn more at how to find balance with your time. Bibles, Burgers, and Brews - Thursday at 6:30pm - Open to Men: Pastor Cory is leading this study looking at different themes that stretch across the Bible. This group will meet at Hwy. 14 Brewing Company. So many themes from the Old Testament (such as creation, the exodus, the temple, the festivals and more) point to a greater them in the New Testament – Christ! We will explore a different theme every week. Getting a burger or brew is optional, but bringing your Bible is not! Leaning On Jesus - Thursday at 6:30pm, Group is FULL - Women's Study: Our culture encourages independence and self-empowerment. We’re told we have all we need to make it all work, that we can smash our goals and own our own lives. But what happens when we can’t or simply don’t? How can we find rest when nothing goes right or never feels like it is enough? Let's learn to live out (and promote) a different posture: leaning. This group will meet on Thursday evenings at the Hamer home. Please contact the church office for the address. *Group attendees will need to purchase a copy of Leaning on Jesus; copies can be purchased in the church office* In the Beginning: A Study of Genesis - Open to Anyone: Norm Frerichs will lead a study in Genoa on various topics and passages from Genesis. If you are interested in attending, contact the church for more information. |
