I Thank God for Each One of You

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.  Philippians 1:3-5

I truly give thanks to our God for each of you.  I thank our God for the faith He has given to each of you to trust in Jesus as your Savior, and the hope in the Resurrection we have though Him. 

I thank God that your faith has been demonstrated through your service to the church.  When I look at how many people have volunteered time to help with worship, with Refuel, at ILS, with getting the facilities ready for construction, and serving in many other ways, I am overflowing with thanksgiving for each of you.   

Finally, I thank the people of Peace for their generosity.  First, with less than half of the Renovating lives campaign completed, we are over two thirds of the way to our goal of $1.5M.  In less than a year and a half, we have receive over $1,000,000 for the renovation project.  While the congregation approved taking out a loan to cover the costs, I am confident that, because of the generosity of this congregation, the loan will be paid off within a few years of the completion of the project.

Not only that, but your generosity has overflowed in our general offerings as well. Sometimes regular giving takes a dip during a building campaign, but our general offerings have actually increased over the past few years, allowing us to continue to reach out to our community and to build up those already part of the church. 

There are still challenges, the last two months of the fiscal year are often the most difficult.  Vacations happen.  Church attendance lags.  And with that giving often follows.  We also have a large annual insurance bill that is due before the end of the year.  So we ask that you continue your faithful and often sacrificial giving in the months to come, that we might be able to continue to grow our congregation and the kingdom of heaven!  

I give thanks to my God for you, and for your partnership in the Gospel!
