Holiday Spirit Co-op Tree

The season of giving is here and generosity can make an impact! Throughout our community, there are friends, neighbors, and families who are doing their best but still struggling to make ends meet, especially in this season of giving. Each year at Christmas, the faithful people of God at Peace come together and respond to the good news of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, by sharing with others in our community who are in need. The Holiday Spirit Co-op Tree has been a great way to provide much needed gifts for those in our community as well as giving them the gift of a Merry Christmas.

The Holiday Spirit Co-op Tree is decorated with angels of people in our community and provides a few gift ideas for each person to spread that Christmas cheer to these families. Over the past few weeks, the Holiday Spirit Co-op Tree has been set up in the narthex and decorated with the angels and throughout these few weeks, our church family, has "adopted" these angels. They have been collecting and purchasing gifts for the angels, using their wish lists and providing them with gifts to make their Christmas brighter.  The tree with the angels and some of the gifts are shown!

What a wonderful way for the people of Peace to show God's love and share the true gift of the season, the birth of a Savior!
